Would you like to contribute to the future of our local government area? We are seeking community representatives to join a Committee or Advisory Group. Council also seeks to appoint one youth (age 15-24) representative to each of the Committees listed below with the exception of the Conservation Advisory Panel. You will be joining Council members and external representatives (as required).
Committees
Bushland Management Advisory Committee - seeking 2 community members
Conservation Advisory Panel - seeking 2 alternate community members
Cultural and Events Advisory Committee -seeking 5 community members
Arts Advisory Steering Committee - seeking 7 community members
Sport and Recreation Advisory Committee - seeking 2 community members (one from each Council ward)
Sustainability Advisory Committee - seeking 5 community members
Nomination criteria
Nominations will be assessed by Council officers with regards to the following essential selection criteria:
Reside within Hunter's Hill Council municipality;
Possess formal qualifications and/or proven experience aligned to the respective committee;
An understanding of the role of Local Government;
Possess excellent communications skills;
The ability to effectively listen to and cooperate with community members holding similar or different points of view; and,
A commitment to the consultative process and adherence to the guidelines as set out in the Code of Conduct.
