Community Priority Survey
Building our Community Strategic Plan
Council is currently updating the Community Strategic Plan. This important document is the highest level of strategic planning undertaken by Council, with a ten-year plus timeframe. All other Council plans must support achievement of the Community Strategic Plan objectives.
In updating the Community Strategic Plan Council must work directly with the community to understand community priorities and needs, the range of services the community wants, and the service standards they expect.
A range of engagement methods will be used to collate community feedback.
Council will also develop a range of supporting documents to help the implementation of the Community Strategic Plan. These documents include:
- A 4-year Delivery Program
- A Resourcing Strategy to help inform the Delivery Program
- A one-year Operational Plan
Each of these documents will be placed on public exhibition in April 2025 for community review and comment.
Community Engagement
Council is committed to undertaking insightful community engagement and consultation to ensure our strategic plans and delivery programs align with community expectations and priorities.
As part of Council's ongoing efforts, Council is running two workshops at the Hunters Hill Town Hall:
Session 1: Tuesday 11 March 2025 from 5pm - 6pm
Session 2: Friday 14 March 2025 from 10am - 11am
Registrations are required and can be made via Bookable.
If your preferred session is booked out, please email info@huntershill.nsw.gov.au or phone 9879 9400 to be placed on the waitlist.
These workshops will help Council to delve deeper into the needs and preferences of residents and business owners in the Hunters Hill local government area, to enhance our service delivery and budget allocation.
The workshops also aim to help Council identify the community's overall level of satisfaction with our performance and service delivery. Additionally, it will give us an idea of our community's preferred methods of communication.
This is the third engagement activity undertaken as part of Council's Community Priority Survey. In late September 2024, Council engaged a contractor to undertake a random telephone survey where 98% of residents reported a high quality of life in the Hunters Hill Local Government Area.
In February 2025, Council conducted an online survey and mapping tool, which received 102 survey responses and 11 map ideas.
Council looks forward to working with the community to build a comprehensive suite of Integrated Planning and Reporting documents.
